1.2 Quick Usage-Guide
-------------------------------
(If you are familiar with my previous products, you will GUARANTEED learn to use this product very fast since it's designed for ease-of-use, as with all other products from Conover's GadgetShop.)
- Right-click on the HUD in your inventory and choose "Wear"
- You can now left-click on the small "Avatar Online Tracker" button on your screen to activate the user-interface (At left side of screen)
The HUD displays avatar online-status with easy-to-understand color-coded text. RED color means the avatar is offline. GREEN color means the avatar is ONLINE. Yellow color means the avatar is currently scanned/updated.

1.2.1 The main menu-system
------------------------------
The main-menu got three options. "Add", "Remove" and "Reset". The ADD command will add new users to the watch-list. The REMOVE command will remove a user from the list. The RESET command will reset and clear the memory of the HUD. Read further down to get in-depth info about these commands.

1.2.2 Usage of the "add" command
------------------------------
Whenever you want to add a user to the watch-list, just click on add-button and follow the on-screen help-system. You can add any user you want, even if they are not in your friend-list. You can add users by entering their full name, or you can enter their unique UUID key if you got it available. If you enter the full name of the avatar, the HUD will attempt to search and find the UUID key automatically.

1.2.3 Usage of the "Remove" command

If you want to remove a user from the watch-list, just click on the remove command and follow the on-screen help-system.

1.2.4 Usage of the "Reset" command
------------------------------
If you want to fully clear the memory and reset the system, just click on reset and wait a couple of seconds. THe system will now be fully refreshed with factory-default settings.

1.3.1 Usage of the UUID-key notecard-list inside the HUD
------------------------------
If you got a list of UUID-keys already, you can easy bulk-add a large amount of avatars into the HUD memory at once. Just edit the UUID-key notecard inside the HUD, and add one UUID key per line.
If you do not know what a UUID key is, just ignore this section. It's not required to operate the HUD. It's only optional and exists for backward-compatibility of older versions of the HUD, if you own a previous version already.
*** ADDITION in version 2.0.16: You can now also just put a avatar name on each line in the notecard, without the need of UUID key. The scanner will automatically convert avatar names without UUID key into keys when detected. You can still add UUID keys if you want, as a backward compatibility feature to ensure your older formatted notecards still works with the new version.

1.3.2 Activation of email-notifications
------------------------------
You can also use the HUD to send you email notifications whenever a avatar goes online/offline, even if yourself are offline. To activate this, you must have the HUD physically rezzed on your land before you logoff. Just do these simple steps to activate it:
1: Rez the HUD on your land.
2: Write the following command in chat: /3email + your-email-address
example: /3email thomasconover@example.com
Finished! If you did it correct, you will receive a test-message in your email-account within a few seconds.
The HUD will keep on sending you email notifications as long as you keep it rezzed on your land.
When you want to stop email notifications, just write in chat: /3email remove
The HUD is fully copyable, so you can both have a rezzed version and wear it at the same time if you want that.

1.4.2 How do i obtain a UUID-key?
------------------------------
The avatar HUD will automatically try to search and find the UUID key by itself. Normally you will not need to do this manually. But, in some cases, very new avatars will not be able to be found automatically. Then you sometimes need to search for the UUID key manually (usually rare cases only)
There is a easy way to find UUID keys for anyone in secondlife manually:
- First, try to invite the avatar to meet you in person inside secondlife
- Then when the avatar is close to you (within 96 meters), click on the HUD
- Then click “Add” to start the local-scanner, and then click on the avatar-name in the menu to add him/her.
That’s it! You’re finished.

4.1 The auto-update system
------------------------------
The auto-update does not require any manual operation. It will check once per day, when you login to your secondlife account. If there is a new version of the product, the auto-update servers will send the update to you automatically.
